Curriculum Vitae

The love for clay stems from my youth, when I received my first sculpting lessons from artist Brigitte Wawoe. In the 1980s I developed myself as a sculptress by taking art classes at the Free Academy of Arts in The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam in The Netherlands. Subjects included portrait and model sculpting, model drawing, three dimensional design, stone sculpting, bronze casting and ceramics (tutors among others Jan Snoeck, Cor Dam, Yves de Block, Veri van Dormolen).

From 2009 to 2012 I attended a professional training programme in ceramic art at the SBB Gouda (leaving certificate: handbuilding, tutor Mieke de Groot). In 2012-2013 I took up an additional course at the SBB on the subject of glazing. In 2016- 2017 I participated in masterclasses by Eddy Roos and in 2019-2020 I joined the program of the Florence Academy of Art at Figura in Amsterdam. In the beginning of my career I was not at all aiming at participating in expositions. Only lately, in recent years, I have started exhibiting my work on a few occasions.
